The LPC4 is a spark ignition engine management system, presently capable of fully sequential operation (injection and ignition) on 4 cylinder engines and banked injection + wasted spark up to 8 cylinders. See product's home page for more information.
Also suitable for body electronics control or instrumentation, and as of 2024 the MPC4 firmware which runs on this hardware includes transmission control capability for nearly any automatic transmission.
You can select optional input amplifier modules for the crank and cam position inputs at order time. These are necessary for some engines equipped with variable reluctance sensors but not all. If your engine has VR sensors and you are unsure, getting the module is the safe bet. If you are unsure what kind of sensors your engine uses, contact us.

As of October 2022, the controllers now have dual CAN bus as a standard feature, as well as four added general purpose outputs and dedicated IO for EFI relay control.
For ignition outputs you have a choice of logic level, up to 4 high coil driver outputs, and now 12 volt outputs which are suitable for transmission control applications and other body control applications that require 12 volts switched from the controller instead of ground switching.
